This special event will be held at the Royal Papua Yacht Club on October 24, International Pink Ribbon Day. This important event which will provide an opportunity to remind the Port Moresby community of the effect this disease can have on our women.

POMCRS is proud to welcome Pacific MMI as the major sponsor of this year's Pink Ribbon Brunch, which focuses on the theme "early detection is our greatest form of protection".

For Pacific MMI, this sponsorship is about being a responsible corporate citizen within the community in which they operate. Pacific MMI is the largest medical insurer in PNG. This is why Pacific MMI takes leadership position in terms of social responsibility through initiatives such as sponsoring and partnering with the POMCRS for Pink Ribbon Day. This commitment to Pink Ribbon Day will ensure that the theme for this year gets the message across to as wide an audience as possible, and raise the awareness level.

POM Billiards & Snooker Association

This sponsorship of the Pacific MMI Snooker Handicap Challenge goes hand-in-hand with our philosophy to support our people in their endeavors to achieve their personal best. As one of PNG's largest insurance companies we have provided support for Snooker in a number of areas within PNG. This is the fifth year of our sponsorship of this event, which is growing through strong participation and the strength of the playing field.

The work done by the people behind the scenes to have a tournament of this statute up and running is quite laborious. The players involved in this professionally run tournament appreciate the competition at this level and the strengthening it provides them to compete at higher levels for PNG.

Sport enjoys near-sacred status in our culture. We devote much of our lives, sometimes our professions, to becoming better players and spectators. The Pacific MMI Snooker Handicap Challenge will further promote a healthy competition and the strong sporting values within the PNG snooker community in POM. The way we compete in sport says a lot about ourselves, our nation, our people, and our direction.

This is just another example of how Pacific MMI operates in our business relationships, community partnerships and our social engagements. It is the continuation of our commitment to PNG sport through corporate sponsorship.
